Jamestown Rural Fire Department responds to fire near Buchanan, ND

Nov. 6—BUCHANAN, N.D. — The Jamestown Rural Fire Department responded to a fire on Tuesday, Nov. 5, near Buchanan, according to Rick Woehl, assistant rural fire chief.

Three units and nine firefighters responded to 7845 24th St. SE near Buchanan shortly before 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Woehl said there was a pellet stove where the ducting goes through the wall and the wall had started on fire. He said the fire was under control when firefighters arrived.

He said firefighters made sure the fire was extinguished. He said the fire was contained to right inside the wall joists.

No injuries were reported. Firefighters were on scene for about 20 minutes.
