JD Vance back in Arizona for Scottsdale rally at guns and ammunition store
JD Vance, the Republican nominee for vice president, is back in Arizona Saturday for a get-out-the-vote rally at a guns and ammunition store in Scottsdale.
Vance, a senator from Ohio, is scheduled to speak at Dillon Precision at 1:30 p.m. He will appear alongside Donald Trump Jr., the former president's son.
His latest visit comes just a few days before Election Day on Nov. 5.
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are locked in fierce competition in Arizona, one of the few swing states in this year's presidential race. Polls show Trump slightly ahead in Arizona though the race is expected to be close.
Their campaigns have sent surrogates through Arizona as the race stretches into its final days. On Thursday, both Harris and Trump held rallies in Arizona, drawing thousands of supporters each.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz , the Democratic vice presidential nominee, also is coming to Arizona Saturday and will campaign in Flagstaff and Tucson.
The trip marks Vance's second week in a row campaigning in Arizona. Vance was most recently in the state last week for a rally in Peoria.
A written statement announcing Vance's visit reiterated what has become a closing argument for the GOP: "Kamala Harris broke Arizona's economy and border security, but President Trump will fix it."
