Jeremiah Brent joins new Fab Five in 'Queer Eye' season 9 trailer

A former showgirl and a dedicated librarian are among the heroes featured in the upcoming Las Vegas-set season 9 of Queer Eye , which also boasts a new iteration of the Fab Five.

Newcomer Jeremiah Brent, replacing former interior design expert Bobby Berk , joins culture expert Karamo Brown , food expert Antoni Porowski , grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness , and fashion expert Tan France in Sin City when the reality series returns next month on Netflix — and as evidenced in the emotional new trailer, Brent is in for some tears. Tears of joy, of course, as he and his colleagues help transform the lives of those who could use a bit of help.

"Is this what it feels like every time?" an overcome Brent asks as he and his fellow experts watch one of their heroes thriving after their transformation.

"Yeah," Van Ness and Brown respond in unison.

"I love it so much," Brent replies.

Elsewhere in the trailer, the new interior expert says, "I feel like I'm finally home with the Fab Five." Brown also assures viewers that Brent, formerly an HGTV staple, has "got the design skills, honey."

Addressing a running joke among viewers about how former interior expert Berk often shouldered most of the work, Brent told House Beautiful earlier this year that he was ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work . "I love the stress. I love the pressure. And this is not my first rodeo," he said. "I know what I signed up for."

He said he and his costars had the "time of our lives" working on the new season, reiterating that there was "no drama" whatsoever following Berk's departure in late 2023 . "Everybody's heads and hearts are in the right spot," the designer said. "It's really healthy right now, and I think we're all really excited about this season."
