Shane A. Loveland

Shane A. Loveland, 42, of Axtell, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2024. A celebration of life open house will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Craig Funeral Home in Minden. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials in Shane's honor are kindly suggested to the family for later designation. Arrangements are under the care of Craig Funeral Home in Minden.
Shane Allen Loveland was born on April 1, 1982, in Lamar, CO to Terry S. Loveland and Rysta L. Susman. He grew up in Limon, CO and attended Limon High School.
He was united in marriage to Michelle Kenney in Colorado Springs, CO and to this union, one daughter was born: Cera Loveland. Shane was later blessed with the birth of his son: Jacob Allen Loveland.
Shane worked for TJ & S Landscaping in Colorado, before moving to Nebraska where he worked for Dandee Concrete Construction. He made his home in Hildreth, Kearney and later Axtell.
He loved fishing, especially at Harlan County Reservoir and Fort Kearny. Shane enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and loved everything with cheese, especially pizza.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Cera Loveland of Craig, CO; son, Jacob Loveland of Kearney; mother, Rysta Susman of Kearney; sisters, Teresa Gibbs of Axtell, Melissa Susman of Kearney, and Rene Martin of Stamford; nieces and nephews, Triston Nicks, Tessa Wilkins, Katie Susman, Travis Susman, Brier Susman, Mistica Martin, Stephanie Martin, Erica Martin, and Bethany Martin; great-nieces, Samantha Susman and Vivian Susman; uncle, Theo J. Stastny of Colorado Springs, CO; as well as a host of extended relative and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Loveland; grandparents, Lavora Montgomery, Rysta Hicks, and Stanley Hicks.
