JOHN A. CHERUNDOLO of Old Forge died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at Mercy
Hospital, Scranton. His wife is the former Mary A. Callis.
Born in Old Forge to the late Anthony and Mary (DeRose) Cherundolo, he was
educated in the Old Forge School District. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II.

Also surviving are three sons, Anthony and Attorney David, of Old Forge;
John, of Sterling, Va.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Rose Palombo, Clarks
Summit; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Antonette “Dolly” Machese.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Victor M. Ferri Funeral
Home, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge, with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary of the
Assumption Church, Old Forge. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The recitation of the Rosary
will be at 5:15 p.m.
