Kids Experience Summer Camp at the Duluth Depot

DULUTH, Minn. — A Minnesotan summer camp visited the Duluth Depot on Saturday, familiarizing kids with camp activities.

Camp Esquagama is a summer camp in Gilbert, Minnesota that believes kids should have time to be kids.

At "Camp E Day" at the Depot, young ones got a classic camp experience as counselors from around the world led various activities. Including making friendship bracelets, playing games and of course– making smore's.

"Part of coming down here is to introduce it to the youth that might be a little bit young for the overnight experience, but when they get to that 8 years, 9 years old, they're ready for that overnight camp experience," said Camp Director Robert Johnson. "Or maybe they've got a family cabin on the lake. But it's more then just coming to camp, it's getting outdoors and experiencing just the camp community as a whole."

Kids from ages 4 to 17 can attend a camp session, from a day camp, to an overnight stay, to a leadership program.
