Lancaster DA investigating fatal officer-involved shooting at Northwest Regional police station
The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office is investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting at the Northwest Regional Police Department.
The shooting happened at 1:43 a.m. at the department on Elizabethtown Road, according to a news release. A man arrived at the police station armed with a handgun, but the district attorney's office did not give any other details.
The DA's office has not yet identified the man.
The Lancaster County District Attorney's Office will make a determination on the justification of the shooting when the investigation is complete.
In an email sent to LNP | Lancaster Online Sunday Northwest Regional Police Chief Mark Mayberry confirmed that no officers were injured in the shooting.
Mayberry said all additional information related to the shooting investigation will be released by the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.
