Lee County man charged with 5 counts of dissemination of child porn

HARMON, Ill. (WTVO) — Dixon Police arrested John Mowery, 41, for disseminating child pornography. On August 8th, officers received a cyber tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children that indicated child pornography was being uploaded in the area. The information was then forwarded to the Illinois Attorney General's Office. Through further investigation, detectives were able to determine the uploads were coming from a house in the 900 block of Harmon Road. Dixon Police were assisted by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police, the Illinois Attorney General's Office and Lee County States Attorney's Office. Mowery was arrested and charged with five counts of dissemination of child pornography. He is currently in the Lee County Jail.
