A York man is facing multiple sex crime charges against children after a written letter was discovered in the hallway of a middle school, according to police.

David Yeager Jr., 44, has been charged with unlawful contact with minors, corruption of minors, indecent assault without consent and indecent assault of a person less than 16-years-old.

Charging documents state that Fairview Township Police responded to Northeastern Middle School on Sept. 15 on reports of a sexual assault.

Police say that a letter detailing intimate activities between a 13-year-old student and an adult was found in the hallway of the school after having fallen from the victim's backpack.

Authorities then spoke with the victim and her mother, the former stating to police that she had written the letter regarding David Yeager Jr.

Investigators later searched the victims phone and found "concerning" messages between Yeager and the victim. The victim later told police in a forensic interview that she was assaulted by Yeager in his truck while being driven home on Sept. 14.

Police detail that while being driven home by Yeager, the victim denied multiple sexual advances from him. The victim states that Yeager then allegedly touched the victim's genitals overtop their clothing.

Detectives later interviewed Yeager on Oct. 4, where he stated that he "inadvertently" touched the victim inappropriately after tickling her thigh, claiming the victim was in "a depressed state." Authorities further mention that Yeager "maintained that he did not do anything wrong."

David Yeager Jr. awaits a preliminary hearing that has yet to be scheduled.
