Letter: Schonhoff wants the best for Nebraska's children
I am writing this letter to share with you why I will be voting for Lisa Schonhoff in the upcoming Nebraska State Board of Education race.
I met Lisa when I helped to organize a meet and greet for her campaign in Columbus last October. There, I listened to her speak and could immediately recognize her passion for education and children.
She has earned degrees in education, curriculum and instruction, and administration. With over 20 years of current teaching experience, she would be a wonderful addition to the state board. As a public school educator, she has shown her commitment to supporting our children, improving classroom environments, and delivering real outcomes. Lisa's knowledge is an asset for our District 3 schools and students.
Lisa is a hardworking mother of four children who are 3rd, 5th, 8th, and 9th graders. She wants the best for all Nebraska's children and is dedicated to keeping education centered on foundational skills like literacy and math.
Even though this is an unpaid position, she has campaigned for 18 months. I am confident she will never shy away from hard work. She has the type of work ethic we need on the board and will prioritize children's learning needs.
As a life-long Nebraskan, I wholeheartedly support Lisa for Nebraska State Board of Education. She will receive my vote and I encourage you to do the same.
