Letter to the editor: Tester has improved our health care

There's a reason why Sen. Jon Tester was ranked one of the most effective senators among all 100 Republicans and Democrats. He gets stuff done, this time for our health care. As a Corvallis resident, I am incredibly grateful to Sen. Jon Tester for improving our health care.

Rural hospitals are essential; in a medical emergency, driving to Missoula doesn't work. Sen. Tester has secured hundreds of millions to help Montana's rural hospitals — including $1 million to support seniors with disabilities in Ravalli County. I recently attended a press conference where Sen. Tester spoke about his recent legislation that gave Medicare the ability to negotiate some drug prices for the first time in history.

Most importantly, he's always been on the side of making sure Montana women make their own reproductive and medical decisions — not politicians. Don't be fooled, Tim Sheehy's plans include a national abortion ban. He probably doesn't want me making his medical decisions, and I will not let him, or any politician, make mine.

Tim Sheehy has ZERO experience in public office, refuses to participate in interviews, is from Minnesota and a puppet for the extremist right-wing faction. He is wrong for Montana.

Absentee ballots are out. I'm voting for Sen. Tester for all he's done for the Bitterroot Valley and Montana.
