LI Man's Home Put Up For Sale — Without Permission: PD

According to Southold Town police, the man, 75, who lives in Salem, Ohio, said a person claiming to be him reached out to a New York real estate broker, asking to list the home for $675,000; shortly after, the property was listed for sale.

The man noticed his property for sale and contacted the broker directly; he also then contacted Southold Town police, who documented the incident and then interviewed the man's niece for additional information, police said.

The real estate broker was contacted and asked to remove the listing; it was removed, police said.

The man was advised to check his bank accounts for any unusual activity, police said.
