LIAM Payne called himself "a lost boy" in One Direction in a heartbreaking video recorded shortly before he died.

The pop star has tragically passed away aged 31, after falling to his death from a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina .

He was in the city attending 1D bandmate Niall Horan 's tour, and died on Wednesday afternoon.

Liam had been sharing daily updates on his life on Snapchat, discussing his move to Miami, life with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy , and his rise to fame in the X Factor group.

In one poignant clip he titled Rating My Outfits, he spoke about his public appearances from his days in One Direction.

The singer shared one photo from an appearance at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball taken in 2017, showing him dressed in tracksuit bottoms and a blue top covered in shooting stars and a flying eagle.

Commenting on the photo, Liam said: "This is not good, and I don't look particluarly happy either.

"I look like a very lost boy."

    Liam poured praise on the boys, telling his fans: "Zayn looks incredibly great, doesn't he?

    "Zayn always looks great, it was really hard to stand next to him."

    On Harry, he said: "Harry is starting to venture out into his Harry-licous self."

    "Louis looks great, Louis could be James Bond," Liam continued.

    About himself, he said: "I don't know why I always have to dress like the gaffer, like I've always got a coat on."

    He went on to describe the group as becoming "dapper gents" on the red carpet.

    After showing another photo, Liam shared a proud anecdote from his days on the red carpet.

    He said he was delighted to be told he looked just like former England captain David Beckham by comedian Jack Whitehall.

    He revealed: "This was the era where I was most getting compared to David Beckham.

    "Which made my head massive by the way, it was the coolest thing ever.

    "It was actually Jack Whitehall who said it. We were together, and Jack Whitehall had a polaroid camera, and he said, 'oh, twins!'

    "No one had ever said that before. And then it just never stopped."

    Tragic Liam's cause of death has today been revealed.

    Liam died at the CasaSur Hotel instantly from multiple injuries including a fractured skull.

    LIAM'S STRUGGLES

    Since rising to unprecedented levels of success with One Direction on the X Factor in 2010, Liam has struggled with a variety of health difficulties, including addiction, and spending time in rehab.

    He admitted that he spent time in a US wellness clinic after he "hit rock bottom".

    He also told how a mystery respiratory illness left him floored in 2021.

    Liam admitted turning to alcohol and drugs to hide how he struggled to cope with One Direction's dizzying levels of fame — which would spark panic attacks and high levels of exhaustion.

    In 2021, he blamed a "pills and booze phase" for bloating his face to "ten times the size" while also revealing he used to guzzle the contents of his mini bar when band chiefs checked the lads into hotels to keep fans at bay.

    He came across as erratic in interviews by making bizarre claims, including that Cowell built One Direction around his talents and that his solo career has been the most successful of all his bandmates.

    Liam leaves behind his seven year old son Bear who he shared with ex Cheryl Tweedy.

    His devastated family have broken their silence after his tragic death. saying they have been left "devastated".
