The Logansport Police Department arrested a Logansport man on Monday for multiple charges including domestic battery and strangulation.

According to court information, on or about Oct. 14, 30-year-old Fermin Gaspar Juan threatened a victim with a deadly weapon. He also threatened to commit a forcible felony to place the same victim in fear.

On the same day, Juan applied pressure to the first victim's throat or neck in a manner that impeded normal breathing or blood circulation. He also touched the first victim in a rude, angry or insolent manner in the presence of children younger than 16 years old while knowing they were present.

Juan additionally touched a second and third victim in an angry, rude or insolent way in the presence of children younger than 16 years. He then applied pressure to the throat or neck of the second victim in a way that impeded normal breathing and blood circulation and communicated a threat to commit a forcible felony to the third victim.

Court information said Juan attempted to touch the third victim with the intent to arouse or satisfy his sexual desires, where the victim was compelled to submit to the touching by force. Information provided lists three additional victims who witnessed Monday's actions.

The Cass Superior Court II charged Juan with nine counts — three counts of intimidation, one being a level 5 felony and two being level 6 felonies, two counts of strangulation, both level 6 felonies, three counts of domestic battery, all level 6 felonies, and one count of attempted sexual battery, a level 6 felony.
