Speed suspected in deadly University area motorcycle wreck: CMPD
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – Speed is considered to be a contributing factor in a deadly motorcycle wreck that occurred earlier this week in northeast Charlotte, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police announced on Friday.
Officers responded to calls regarding the incident around 5 p.m. on Thursday near 6300 Highland Creek Parkway in northeast Charlotte. 34-year-old Gregory Glisson was found suffering from injuries and was pronounced dead on scene.
An initial investigation stated that Glisson was on a 2024 Kawasaki ZR900F motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control.
CFD, a street racing unit, Medic, a major crash unit, and a DWI task force were among the departments that responded to the scene.
Toxicology results are pending. Det. Leung is the lead on the case.
