Bonvie’s first goal of the season is a big one as the Penguins win their first
overtime game in franchise history. The Penguins scored two third-period goals
to tie the game. Dec. 3, vs. Hershey Result: Hershey 4, Penguins 2 The Skinny:
Hershey scored two short-handed goals to beat the Penguins for the second time
this season. The Penguins were 2-for-8 on the power play. Dec. 4, vs.
Philadelphia Result: Philadelphia 7, Penguins 2 The Skinny: Philadelphia
scored three power-play goals and a short-handed goal in the victory. The
Phantoms outshot the Penguins, 35-21. Tonight vs. Cincinnati The Skinny:
Cincinnati scored four goals in its first eight shots on its way to a 6-0
victory against the Penguins on Oct. 24. It was one of two times the Penguins
have been shut out this season. Dec. 10, at Albany The Skinny: Albany is third
in the Empire Division with a 8-12-3 record for 19 points. The River Rats have
a 0-1-1 record against the Penguins, winning the last matchup, 5-4 in
overtime. Dec. 11, vs. Providence The Skinny: The defending Calder Cup
champions are second in the New England Division with a 14-10-3 record for 31
points. The Bruins have a 4-5-1 record during their last 10 games.
