PENGUINS REPORT

SCOUTING REPORT
CASSIVI TO START? According to a story in Saturday’s York Daily Record,
Frederic Cassivi could get the start tonight for Hershey. It would be his
first of the season, as he has been recovering from surgery to repair an
abdominal muscle during the off-season. Cassivi has played in one game so far
this season, and didn’t allow a goal on 11 shots in 29:25 of play in a game at
Norfolk on Friday.

LEADING THE BEARS: Center Matt Herr (6 goals, 4 assists) is the top scorer
while center Kelly Fairchild is leading the team in plus-minus with a plus-4.
Hershey’s top defenseman, statistically speaking, is Matt Scorsune (1 goal, 3
assists, plus-minus of even).

AROUND THE AHL

owell center Byron Ritchie had three goals, six
assists and a plus-4 rating in four games as the Lock Monsters (8-0-1-0)
remained one of two undefeated teams in the AHL.

ALONG THE COAST

WHEELING NOW 3-3: The Nailers evened their record with a 6-2 victory over
Johnstown on Sunday. Right wing Bogdan Rudenko had a hat trick for Wheeling
and center Dylan Gyori had a goal. Rudenko leads the team in scoring (6 goals,

plus-5 rating. Goalie Joel Laing has a 2.18 goals-against average and a .921
save percentage, having played all six games.

WHAT’S NEXT

HEADING NORTH: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton will play its next four games on the
road, three of them coming in Canada. The Penguins are at Quebec on Friday, at
Albany on Saturday, then play back-to-back games at St. John’s on Nov. 8-9.
Center/right wing Billy Tibbetts, who will be called up by Pittsburgh today,
would not have been able to play the three games in Canada. He still hasn’t
received permission to enter that country because of prior felony convictions.
