Louisiana rapper Boosie asks Donald Trump for pardon in his federal gun case
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge rapper Torrence "Boosie" Hatch Jr. is asking President-elect Donald Trump to pardon him in a federal gun case.
Hatch tagged Trump in a post on X saying, "? i'm a a g .!! !! to "
In July , an indictment with two counts of firearm possession was filed by the U.S. District Court Southern District of California shortly after a federal judge threw out the previous case against the rapper. The case was tossed due to a federal court precedent that found that law unconstitutional.
In the same Nov. 6 X post, he requests to sit down with Trump for a conversation about the president-elect's stance on police immunity. Hatch said he believes police immunity would motivate officers to commit deadly crimes.
He also congratulated Trump for his win in the presidential election.
In Texas, a warrant was issued in September on a charge of theft of services after Hatch allegedly didn't pay for $8,800 worth of chauffeur services. In an Instagram video posted by The Shade Room , Hatch said there was a "misunderstanding" and the warrant was cleared.
