Spring Valley 41-Year-Old Admits Sexually Abusing 12-Year-Old Girl
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced that 41-year-old Luis Quinac-Morales, of Spring Valley, pleaded guilty to first degree course of sexual conduct on Wednesday, before the Honorable Anne B. Bianchi in Rockland County Court.
According to court documents, Quinac-Morales had sexual intercourse on multiple occasions with a 12-year-old girl in the Village of Spring Valley.
"The defendant in this case subjected a 12- year-old innocent child to horrific sexual abuse. My Office works in collaboration with our partners in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal level and will use all available resources to protect children in Rockland County," the district attorney said. "I would like to thank the Spring Valley Police Department for working closely with detectives from the Rockland County District Attorney's Office Special Investigations Unit and the Rockland County District Attorney's Office Special Victims Unit on this investigation."
Quinac-Morales pled guilty prior to the commencement of a jury trial. He is facing a nine-year state prison sentence, followed by a 20-year period of post-release supervision, and he will have to register as a sex offender. He is scheduled for sentencing on January 14.
