MAFS UK viewers cringe after groom boasts about looking forward to bedroom antics before bride drops HUGE bombshell she's celibate

This is the awkward moment a groom on Married At First Sight UK found out that his new bride was celibate during Thursday night's episode.

The reality show returned to E4 for a brand-new series on Monday night and after three hugely successful runs, two BAFTA nominations and even a baby, the upcoming fourth series is set to bring more love and drama than ever.

The newest instalment saw Ross, 32, from Manchester, who is the first deaf contestant to appear on the E4 show, tie the knot with 29-year-old Sacha from Birmingham .

While the couple seemed thrilled to have been matched with each other, there was one worry on Sacha's mind.

She revealed that she is celibate and 'very traditional' so would want her new groom to offer to sleep on the sofa during the beginning of their marriage.

As the wedding day unfolded, the former Miss Birmingham pageant queen got more and more worried about breaking the news to Ross.

She instructed that the first kiss should be one on the cheek felt awkward when her new partner got excited about the prospect of smooching her.

Ross' best friend Jake sat down to chat with Sacha during their wedding dinner to find out more about his pal's new bride and quiz her on why she didn't kiss him on the lips after they exchanged vows.

Sacha explained: 'Just because my dad was there and I wouldn't want my dad to feel uncomfortable.

'I am very much traditional so what I'm stressed about right now at the minute is that we're sharing a room.

'I'm actually celibate so I feel like just meeting someone and then you've got to share a room with them.'

She added that she wants to take things 'very slow' and that celibacy is always something she practices when she's not in a relationship.

Jake was unable to conceal his shock and later said in a confessional: 'I'm going to have to break the news to Ross that Sacha is celibate'.

He sarcastically joked: 'I'm sure he won't mind,' before heading over to drop the bombshell.

'So, I've got some things to tell you,' he told Ross, 'She's celibate, she's been celibate for a long time. Not had sex.'

Opening his mouth in surprise, the groom reacted with: 'Has she? S***.'

Later in the evening, Sacha told Ross in her own words, admitting: 'I was worried you'd think I don' like you after not kissing you at the altar.'

But, Ross eased her worries by saying that he 'respects her one hundred per cent'.

Born deaf, Ross wears two hearing aids, but has never let this define who he is and what he wants to do in life.

He played for Everton Deaf football club, and was scouted for Team GB trials aged 17, before being confirmed for the first Deaf England squad.

He played all over the world until two years ago when he gave it up so he could be close to home for his daughter, who he cites as the center of his universe.

Meanwhile, described as ' a daddy's girl who will stop at nothing to impress her father,' Sacha has been in beauty pageants since she was six, and was even crowned Miss Birmingham, in 2018.

The hopeful bride has only ever had one long term relationship, which lasted three years.

Single for the last nine months, she made the decision to become celibate until the right man comes along.

Divided fans took to X to reveal what they thought of the decision, quipping:

'If Sacha mentions him going on the sofa one more damn time...I swear! #marriedatfirstsightuk #MAFSUK.'

'I hope Ross is actually respectful and not just saying it for a few days until the point at which he believes he's entitled to have sex with Sacha because I feel like those are the vibes I'm getting #mafsuk.'

'Being celibate is not a big deal. Sacha is obviously a girl with self-respect. #MAFSUK.'
