Maine is recalling even more cannabis because of unsafe yeast and mold levels

Maine has issued its third recall for cannabis products after failed mold and yeast tests.

This recall targets a strain of cannabis flower called The Soap produced by Leb City Greeneries, according to the Office of Cannabis Policy.

Audit testing found unsafe levels of mold and yeast.

Consumption may cause sinus issues, allergies, headaches, dizziness and fatigue, the cannabis office said Thursday. Anyone experiencing these symptoms after consuming the cannabis should contact their doctor.

The products were sold between Oct. 11 and 24 at four stores — Brilliant Buds in Bethel, Stoner & Co. in Biddeford, and Friendly Fire and Green Truck Farms in Sanford.

Buyers should return the products to the retailer or throw them away.
