Man arrested after stabbing in Union Springs
A man is in stable condition after being stabbed several times during a confrontation Thursday night in Union Springs.
Cayuga County Sheriff's Office Lt. Matthew Sloan told The Citizen a 42-year-old man was stabbed at about 10 p.m. outside 157 Cayuga St., a mixed-use building with apartments on the second floor.
The suspect in the stabbing was later identified as Albert Weber, 50. He has been charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. After receiving medical attention for minor injuries of his own, he was arraigned at the county's CAP court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail without bail, Sloan said.
The victim is being treated for his injuries at Upstate University Hospital, Sloan said.
