Man arrested in Pitt County for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Pitt County Sheriff's Office received multiple Internet Crimes Against Children cyber tips regarding an individual who was in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material on August 9.

Throughout the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for 35-year-old James Clayton Clark Jr.'s residence. During the execution of the search warrant, multiple electronic storage devices were taken from the home. Agents from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation conducted an analysis of the devices and did locate CSAM material.

After the warrants, Clark was charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Clark was arrested on November 6 and booked into the Pitt County Detention Center with no bond allowed.
