Man charged after suspicious package delivered to home in Silver Spring
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said a man was arrested after a suspicious package was delivered at a home in Silver Spring on Nov. 7.
Police said they responded to the 1300 block of Alderton Drive for the report of a suspicious package that contained drugs inside and was left outside a home.
When officers arrived at the scene, they saw surveillance video of what seemed to be multiple people with flashlights in the homeowner's yard.
During their investigation, officers found the suspects, two males and a female in the yard.

One of the males ran from the scene.
The second male, identified as 22-year-old Kalani Ayi Abulfata Ariyibi-Sani, of Silver Spring, was found carrying a loaded Sam Diego Privateer 7.62 AR-style pistol under his jacket.
Ariyibi-Sani was arrested and charged with possession of drugs and a firearm.
After arresting Ariyibi-Sani, police said they discovered over 100 Xanax pills, two digital scales, marijuana, and a bottle of Promethazine.
The female was carrying drugs at the time of her arrest.
She was sent to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and charged with possession.
