Man dies after being shot at park in Capitol Heights, police investigating
CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Prince George's County said a man has died after he was shot at a park in Capitol Heights on Friday.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD), at around 5:50 p.m., Maryland-National Capital Park Police and PGPD officers responded to a park in the 7700 block of Walker Mill Road for a shooting.
There, they found 43-year-old Morris Haskins Jr., of Washington, D.C., with a gunshot wound.
Responders took him to the hospital, where he died the next day.

Detectives said they are working to identify those responsible and a motive.
