Man dies at Tyson plant in Finney County

FINNEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — A 44-year-old Garden City man is dead after an incident at Tyson Fresh Meats in Holcomb. The Finney County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 8:40 p.m. on Monday. The sheriff's office did not provide any details of what happened, only saying it is being investigated as an industrial accident. Motorcyclist dead after crash in southeast Kansas A Tyson Foods spokesperson said the company is working closely with local authorities and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) on the investigation. "We're deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a team member at our Finney County facility and extend our thoughts to his family, friends, and co-workers. Ensuring the health and safety of our team members is our top priority," the spokesperson said. The company has chaplains available to provide support to its team members.
