BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — Detectives have launched an investigation into the "suspicious death" of a man who they said was found unconscious in a West Bradenton neighborhood in late October.
Sherrone Jackson, 27, was dropped off by a ride-share service around 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 29 near the intersection of 68th Street West and 12th Avenue West, according to Bradenton police.

Through further investigation, detectives said they learned Jackson intended to pick up a spare key left in the mailbox of a nearby home. He was then going to use another ride-share to travel back to his residence in Sarasota County.
But he never made it home that night.
Information provided to investigators indicated that Jackson was still waiting for a ride at 11:55 p.m. A few hours later, around 1:45 a.m., a passerby reported finding Jackson unconscious near the intersection.
Doctors reportedly determined Jackson had sustained a traumatic brain injury. However, as of Thursday, Nov. 7, the police department said the cause of his injury remained unknown.
Jackson never regained consciousness before he passed away on Nov. 6, officials said.
Now, authorities are looking for more information that could help them piece together what happened to Jackson.
At the time he was found, Jackson was wearing black Nike shorts, a white tank top, black slide sandals, and a red trucker hat with "Badlands" on the front.
