Man killed in 1-car crash in Huron County
RIPLEY TOWNSHIP , Ohio (WJW) — A Shiloh man was killed in a Sunday afternoon crash on U.S. Route 224 in Huron County , according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol .
It happened just before 1:30 p.m. on U.S. Route 224, near the Old State Road intersection, according to a Sunday news release from the patrol's Norwalk post.

Richard V. Hairston, of Shiloh, was driving an SUV east on U.S. Route 224 when he ran off the left side of the road, striking a ditch, then a tree.
Hairston was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected, suffering fatal injuries.
Norwayne Middle School student killed in crash identified
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
