Man reported missing in Fayette County

GAULEY BRIDGE, WV (WVNS) — A man was reported missing from part of Fayette County.

According to a press release from the West Virginia State Police, 41-year-old Christopher Dean Baughey was last seen at around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in the Gauley Bridge area of Fayette County.

The West Virginia State Police stated that Baughey's destination is unknown, however he could be headed towards Charleston or Montgomery. Baughey was known to drive a 2000 model, four door, white Ford Focus.

Baughey is around five feet 11 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, and wears glasses.

Anyone with information about Baughey's location can call and ask for Trooper Morton with the West Virginia State Police, or leave information at 304-256-6700 if they wish to stay anonymous.

The family of the man shot and killed by Hamilton police on Saturday has identified him as Erixon Kabera — a father of three, known for his kindness and dedication to Hamilton's Rwandan community. His wife, Lydia Nimbeshaho, told CBC News her family is devastated and demanding answers.
