PHILADELPHIA — A man who police say sexually assaulted a child in Center City last week is being sought by authorities.

Philadelphia Police said the man seen here sexually assaulted a child at about 1:15 a.m. Nov. 2 on the 800 block of Chestnut Street.

The suspect was seen at the Broad and Olney Transportation Center hours before to the incient, police said.

He is believed to frequent Center City Philadelphia and utilizes the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines.

Authorities described the suspect as a black man in his late 20s to mid 30s with a medium height and build, dark complexion, and a beard.

Police also said he appears to have bandages above his right eye.

He was wearing a stained light gray shirt, light gray sweatpants, no shoes, and black socks. He may now be wearing a navy-blue Nike hooded sweatshirt with white drawstrings, black sneakers and a black backpack, along with the same light gray sweatpants, police said.
