Cumberland man arrested on drug distribution charge

Nov. 7—CUMBERLAND — A wanted city man allegedly peering into vehicles was arrested Wednesday after he ran from Cumberland Police who identified him as the suspect described in the incident.
Officers responding to the Fort Cumberland Homes area charged the suspect, Lamont Gross, with drug distribution and related offenses after he was found in possession of large quantities of fentanyl and suboxone at the time of his arrest.
Gross, 50, was also served a warrant for failure to appear before he was jailed without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Police said they were called to the area where Gross also allegedly attempted to enter a residence.
