Man Torched Little League Sheds In South Jersey: Police
Anthony Lindsey was arrested Monday and charged with arson for his alleged role in the fire two months ago at the Monroe Township Little League Complex.
Authorities responded to the blaze at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 3, when two sheds containing Little League equipment burned. The fire marshal determined it was caused by arson.
Lindsey, 43, of Woodstown, was identified as the suspect after further investigation. Police have not shared any potential motive.
He was also charged with criminal mischief.
"Our league is strictly funded by donations and registration fees," the GoFundMe says. "Both sheds were entirely burned down, and inside those two sheds, we lost several pieces of equipment that we've accrued over the years that are needed to keep our league running."
