February 24, 1939 - September 19, 2024

LOUP CITY - Margaret "Marge" A. Mroczek 85 of Loup City, NE died peacefully Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2024 at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. Father Richard Piontkowski will celebrate the mass. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the church with a Sodality Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Loup City Fire Department, Loup City EMT's or donor's choice. Margaret "Marge" Mroczek was born February 24, 1939 on the family farm outside of Elyria, NE to Frank and Julia (Sobon) Augustyn. Marge started teaching at the age of 19 and received her teaching degree at Kearney State College.

On July 23, 1960, Marge was united in marriage to Raymond Mroczek on a steamy July day. To this union 5 Children were born. In their early years of marriage, they resided in Loup City one-half mile east of town, then moved to the family farm north of Loup City next to Fisherman's Bridge.

Marge was a member of St. Josephat's Catholic Church in Loup City, NE. She enjoyed being a Lead/Lector and a Eucharistic minister. Her passion was to teach kids from kindergarten to 8th grade in various one room schools in the surrounding area. At the time of her retirement, Marge was a substitute teacher at several local area high schools.

One of Marge's favorite things to do was go Black Friday shopping and talk her granddaughters into taking her to Joann's Fabric to buy several bolts of fabric and fill her car. Marge enjoyed attending her grandchildren's events and activities at school. She was an avid sewer and loved sending dresses she had sewn to Haiti. Her fridge was always stocked with Cuties for her grandchildren.

Surviving Marge are her 5 Children; Gary (Deb) Mroczek of Gothenburg NE; Judy (Conrad) Meyer of Rye, N.Y; Jane (Richard) Fecht of Axtell NE; Mary (Kerry) Wendell of Axtel NE; Scott (Kelli) Mroczek of Loup City, NE; 11 grandchildren, Matt Mroczek, Jacob (Joy) Fritton, Marie (Tyler) McConahay, Heather (Colby) Grey, Paige (Mitch) Anderson, Trevor (Cassandra) Fecht, Tannor (Brook) Mroczek, Taylor (Michael) McGowan, Alex Meyer, Nathasha Meyer and DeLanie Mroczek; 15 great grandchildren, Swaisen, Lily, Adelaide, Rowen, Zoey, Vanna, Hadley, Jay, Henley, Ace, Kannon, Haiden, Cal, Asher, Auggie and Graham; brother, Syl (Winnie) Augustyn of Miles City, MT; sisters, Bernadine Silver of Ord, NE and Rita McCain of California.

Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mroczek; parents; six brothers, Gene, Emanuel, Ernie, Carl, Roman, and Theodore; one sister, Regina; infant brother, Chester and one infant grandson, Dillon Michael Mroczek.
