Marjorie Gavek

arjorie Mae Gavek, of Lake Carey, Tunkhannock, died Friday at her home.



Born Aug. 15, 1923 in Noxen, she was a daughter of the late Simon and
Bessie (Keller) Kunkle. She volunteered for many years at Tyler Memorial
Hospital and taught ceramics in her home.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Kunkle Sr.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Thomas Gavek; sons, Donald Gavek and
Ronald Gavek, both of Tunkhannock; five grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella Curran, Murphy, N.C.; nieces and
nephews.



Funeral services and interment will be Tuesday at the convenience of the
family. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to
Tyler Health Foundation, c/o Bob Cooney, 880 SR 6W Tunkhannock, PA 18657; or
N.E. Health & Hospice, 117 N. State St., Clarks Summit, Pa. 18411.
