Maryland man facing prison for sending threats to Rochester public officials

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A Maryland man is facing 27-months in prison after he sent threatening messages to several Rochester public officials.

Following an investigation conducted by the FBI, 45-year-old Adam Schadt it was found that Schadt had sent emails to both the Chief of the Rochester Police Department and Sheriff of Monroe County in August 2022, threatening to shoot both of them.

Schadt continued to make threats to various public officials including Mayor Malik Evans and Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, as well as their families.
