Two Massachusetts police officers tied to the Karen Read case are being disciplined.

The investigations into the behavior of Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik and Detective Kevin Albert came about after testimony in the trial this past summer.

According to a disciplinary order state police Sgt. Yuri Bukhenik will forfeit five vacation days, for his failure to "properly supervise and/or counsel a subordinate for sending inappropriate correspondence regarding an ongoing investigation."

State Trooper Micheal Proctor sent texts about Karen Read to co-workers, including Bukhenik. Those messages were read during testimony.
