Michael M. Lockus, 53, of Pringle Street in Pringle, died Saturday at his
home after a bout with cancer. Born in Edwardsville, he was the son of Marion
Silchak Lockus Kunigonis, of Luzerne, and the late Andrew Lockus. He was a
graduate of Larksville High School and served with the U.S. Navy during
peacetime. He was employed in the maintenance department of Pennsylvania
Millers Mutual Insurance Co. in Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of St. Hedwig’s
Church in Kingston and the American Legion Post 672 in Dallas. Surviving, in
addition to his mother, are his wife of 11 years, the former Kimberly
Yaglowski; daughter, Lauren, at home; step father, Chester Kunigonis, Luzerne;
sisters, Barbara Brennan, Courtdale; Margaret Conrad, Concord, N.Y.; and
several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday from
Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Hedwig’s Church. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m.
Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lauren
Lockus Scholarship Fund, c/o Pennsylvania Millers Insurance Co., 72 N.
