MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The City of Midland is confirming a man is dead after he shot his wife before barricading himself into a house Monday night. The Midland Police Department was the first agency to respond to the scene, which happened on the 5500 block of New Castle Lane in Midland. The City said the standoff ended at around 8:10 p.m. after shots were fired and the man involved was deceased. The woman appeared okay, but she was taken to a hospital.
