Milledgeville upends Polo; advances to I8FA championship game

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Milledgeville Missiles handed the Polo Marcos their first loss of the season Saturday afternoon in an I8FA semifinal game. 28-14 was the final score. Milledgeville struck on its first play of the game. Running back Micah Toms-Smith took the snap and ran around the left end and down the sideline for an 86-yard touchdown. That gave the Missiles momentum and confidence, and they sustained those the rest of the game. Milledgeville avenged a 30-14 regular season loss to Polo. That was the Missiles only loss of the regular season. They now advance to Friday's 8 Man championship game against Amboy.
