Mini Heatwave For WI: Weather Forecast Following a cold Monday, temperatures will continue to rise through the weekend.

MILWAUKEE — Following a cold Monday, temperatures will continue to rise through the weekend, which will feature temperatures in the low 40s.

"Cold and brisk conditions are expected today into Tuesday, with some flurries at times today," the National Weather Service said.

"Wind chills will be in the single digits above zero today and Tuesday, and may dip below zero later tonight. Temperatures look to warm by Wednesday into Friday, which should help melt the snow on the ground."

Here's the week-ahead NWS forecast from the Milwaukee Airport:

Tuesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 26. Wind chill values between zero and 10. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 40. West wind around 15 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 44. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 39.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 40.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43.
