Motive in failed murder-for-hire case revealed: warrant
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The payment? Twenty-three thousand dollars. The supplies? A gun and gas money.
The job? Drive to Tulare and kill a man.
That's the task he was given when he met with a father and son in Delano , a man told sheriff's officials according to a warrant.
Instead of committing murder, the man told the target of the plot against him, according to the warrant. The two then spoke with authorities in Kern County on Oct. 2.

Detectives asked the target why Belisario and Jordano Sanchez would want to kill him.
He said Belisario Sanchez — with whom he grew up in the same town in Mexico — blamed family members of his for the death of one Sanchez's relatives.
An undercover investigation was conducted to gather more information. It resulted in the arrests of the Sanchezes on Oct. 3 and the seizure of two AK-47 rifles, a .22-caliber rifle, two handguns, ammunition and around $20,000.
Belisario and Jordano Sanchez are being held without bail on charges of conspiracy and solicitation to commit murder. Belisario Sanchez is also charged with possessing an assault rifle and manufacturing or possessing a short-barreled rifle and large-capacity magazine.
They're due back in court in December.
The hired man said the Sanchezes gave him a rifle and a photo of the target with his address written on the back, according to the warrant. Belisario Sanchez also drove him past the target's house, he said.

Detectives reviewed Whatsapp messages between Jordano Sanchez and the man. In them, Jordano Sanchez writes he "wants the job done quickly," and, when asked, gives the first name of the target, according to the warrant.
The man hired for the killing said he was first told the Sanchezes were offering $25,000, according to the warrant. He said they later offered $23,000, with payment provided after the target was dead.
Why the reduced pay? Belisario Sanchez said he gave $3,000 and a gun to another person, the man told detectives. That person never returned.
