Motorcyclist dead after crash in Porterville
PORTERVILLE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 19-year-old is dead following a crash in Porterville on Sunday, the Porterville Police Department said.
Officers say they responded to the area of Henderson Avenue and Balmoral Drive regarding a traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle on Sunday around 12:20 p.m.
On scene, police say they located a 19-year-old motorcyclist who was suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Despite lifesaving efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators add the driver of the other involved vehicle did not sustain injury as a result of the collision. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor, but the investigation is ongoing.
