Motorist killed in crash involving semi-truck on I-70 in Clark County

MARTINSVILLE — The Illinois State Police has reported that a motorist was killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck with a trailer late Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 70 in Clark County.

A Troop 9 news release reported that the crash occurred at approximately 4:43 p.m. on I-70 eastbound at milepost 141, between Martinsville and Marshall. According to the release, one motorist was pronounced deceased on scene.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed, and traffic was diverted to Martinsville for the crash investigation. At approximately 6:18 p.m., one lane reopened. ISP reported that it is not releasing further information at this time.
