The event, held at Memorial Park, was a fundraiser for NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. It is NAMI's main fundraiser of the year. NAMI Montana supports, educates, and advocates for Montanans with mental conditions and their families.

The Alzheimer's Association of Montana had a walk in Memorial Park on Saturday to raise funds to provide essential services to families and support research to find a cure. There are 21,000 Montanans among more than 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's, the seventh-leading cause of death. More walks are Sept. 28 in Kalispell and Sept. 29 in Missoula.
