Nebraska Health Care LEAD class VII announced
Nebraska Health Care Association and Nebraska Health Care Foundation recently announced Class VII of Nebraska Health Care LEAD, a year-long program designed to develop a workforce of leaders that can meet the care needs of Nebraska's aging population.
During a recent kick-off retreat at NHCA's office in Lincoln, each member of Class VII was paired with a mentor who previously completed the program. The mentors will provide guidance and encouragement throughout the year.
Through in-person and virtual gatherings, book discussions, and connections with state and national leaders, Nebraska Health Care LEAD, which stands for Lead. Excel. Advance. Develop., equips professionals to positively shape the future of health care in Nebraska; benefit their local communities; benefit employers through operations improvement and public relations; and work toward personal growth.
Area class VII members include: Jessica Lawless, Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lakeview, Grand Island; and Rob Foxworthy, Brookefield Park, St. Paul.
Other Class VII members include: Maria Barajas, Ridgeway Senior Living, Lexington; Jack Bleach, Ambassador Health, Omaha; Hannah Elliott, Dial Senior Living; Cassie Greene, Good Samaritan Society, Auburn; Bobby Hall, Gateway Vista, Lincoln; Connie Knorr, Nebraska Health Care Association; Katie Lechner, Tabitha, Lincoln; Christy Lee, The Meadows, Norfolk; Amber Lihs, The Landing, Lincoln; Eldonna Rayburn, The Lexington Assisted Living, Lincoln; Tamara Scheil, Fairview Manor, Fairmont; Sarah Stull, Kimball County Manor and Assisted Living, Kimball; and Madison Ternus, Good Samaritan Society/Sunset View Assisted Living, Bloomfield.
"Since its inception in 2016, the Nebraska Health Care LEAD Program has been instrumental in developing leaders across our state's nursing homes and assisted living communities," said Jalene Carpenter, NHCA president and CEO. "Each time participants and their mentors connect throughout the year, they gain valuable tools that inspire and elevate the teams they lead."
