C.Nguyen58 min ago

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will start accepting submissions in October for the 2024 Nebraskaland Magazine photo contest.

The contest is open to photographers of all ages and skill levels.

Photo submissions must be taken in Nebraska in the following categories:

— wild mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.

— in which landmarks, scenery or inanimate objects are prominent.

— people enjoying the outdoors through hunting, fishing, hiking, backpacking, skiing or other outdoor activities. No traditional sports images will be accepted.

— native wildflowers, foliage, fruiting bodies or other parts of plants and the creepy crawly creatures that inhabit them.

Submissions are due on Nebraskaland's website by Oct. 31 at 11:59 p.m.

The winning entries will be published in the January/February issue of Nebraskaland Magazine. Cash prizes are available in each category to first-, second- and third-place winners, and there is a Best in Show prize.
