Nevada Humane Society opens retail store at Reno shelter to support new pet parents

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Nevada Humane Society (NHS) is opening a brand new retail store to provide individuals and families 'nose to tail support' for pet supplies like, treats, collars and leashes, toys and other animal products people may need immediately after adopting and during the life of the pet. The nonprofit will operate the store daily from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and proceeds from store sales will support the mission of caring for pets, finding them homes and saving lives. KOLO 8′s Jayde Ryan stopped by the new store Tuesday ahead of their official grand opening. A ribbon cutting ceremony takes place at the NHS Reno campus Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. The Nevada Humane Society Reno facility is located at 2825 Longley Lane, Suite B.
