Nickelback, Lynyrd Skynyrd coming to East Tennessee as part of Kid Rock’s festival series

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Some major musical acts will perform in East Tennessee this spring as part of a two-day festival.

Kid Rock announced Tuesday that his Rock the Country festival is coming to 10 cities across America. Knoxville is listed among the host cities, but the festival be held at Maple Lane Farms in Greenback. It will take place on April 25-26.

Kid Rock and Nickelback will headline the two-day festival. The lineup also includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gavin Adcock, Aaron Lewis and the Stateliners, Ella Langley, Shenandoah, Mark Chestnutt, Sammy Kershaw, Little Texas, Hudson Westbrook, Logan Crosby, Afroman and Dee Jay Silver.

The festival is offering two free VIP tickets to one "hometown hero" in each of the 10 cities. Hometown hero can nominated on the festival website. One thousand tickets to each of the 10 cities will be donated to military veterans. Those tickets can be claimed on vettix.org.
