Nighttime delays expected on Centerville Road Monday
Stoppages up to 10 minutes long and lane restrictions are expected on Centerville Road during overnight hours next week as crews install mast arms for new traffic signals, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Work is scheduled to take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly from Monday through Wednesday.
Crews will be working at Centerville Road's intersection with Columbia Avenue Monday night; Industry Drive Tuesday night, and Estelle Drive Wednesday night.
PennDOT says moderate delays are expected, and drivers should find alternate routes.
Lane closures will also take place on Route 30 nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday through Thursday night, weather permitting, so crews can continue working in the median.
The work is part of a $36.3 million project to improve the Centerville Road exit of Route 30 and widen Centerville Road. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2025. The contractor is J.D. Eckman Inc. of West Sadsbury Township, Chester County.
