No injuries reported after house fire in East Hartford

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — No injuries were reported after a house caught fire on Beacon Hill Road Wednesday morning, according to East Hartford fire officials.

The fire was reported on the 130 block sometime "in 24 hours early this morning," fire officials said.

Upon arrival, crews reported a "heavy volume fire" in the rear of the structure.

They were able to keep it from spreading to the neighboring brush and wooded area, and two adjacent structures.

However, Assistant Fire Chief Stephen Alsup said the amount of heat coming from the fire was enough to melt the siding on a house next door.
